Why not visit our Club?

Have you ever wondered what Rotary is all about? Did you think that Rotarians were all old and out of touch?

Well, if you don't know or thought that Rotary wasn't fun, then the first step is to come along and see what we are all about.  Whilst Rotary believes in 'Service Before Self' (as described in 'About Us') in  Rotary Club of Williamstown we also believe in the 3 'Fs' i.e. Fun, Fellowship and Friendship. The club holds regular social events against which we run the 3 Way Test:

  • Is it fun? If not, why do it?
  • Will it hurt? Nobody gets hurt, ever!
  • Will we get caught? What for, having fun?

How Do I Join?

Once you have attended a few of our meetings, and assisted us with one or more of our community-oriented activities, we may ask you if you would like to join the club.  Of  course, we really want you to join, but this process is important so that we know who you are and you know what will be expected of you as a Rotarian.

We are looking for:

  • adults of good character
  • people with excellent business or professional reputations
  • people who reside or work in the locality of the club or adjacent to it
  • people who are service minded

Our aim is that by serving the community that we live in, we will feel that we have been able to contribute to a world of peace, harmony and goodwill.  To be a Rotarian you should give of your time and talents whenever possible in:

  • community work
  • fellowship and social functions
  • club and district activities

Why join Rotary?

As a member of Rotary you will have the opportunity to:

  • serve both your local community and the international community
  • develop friendship with other Rotarians
  • network with fellow Rotarians
  • extend your personal growth and development
  • improve world understanding and goodwill
  • develop good citizenship
